template — review required before publication · not legal advice · GDPR applies

Last updated: [REVIEW REQUIRED — date of publication].

Data controller: Matteo Ambrosetti, Italy ([REVIEW REQUIRED — full name and a contact route; a street address is not required for a personal site, but an email is: hello@light-through-the-mirror.com]).

The short version

This is a static personal website. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and has no user accounts. Reading it requires no personal data.

What is processed, and why

Server logs. The hosting provider [REVIEW REQUIRED — name the host and link its privacy policy] may process IP addresses and request metadata to deliver pages and defend against abuse (legal basis: legitimate interest, art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention is the host’s [REVIEW REQUIRED — state the period].

Analytics. [REVIEW REQUIRED — choose one and delete the other:] (a) No analytics are used. (b) This site uses [Plausible / Umami], a cookieless, EU-hostable analytics tool that stores aggregate counts only and no persistent identifiers; no consent banner is required because no cookies or equivalent identifiers are set (legal basis: legitimate interest).

The contact form. If you write to me, the name, address and message you provide are transmitted by [REVIEW REQUIRED — Web3Forms / Formspree; link its privacy policy and DPA] and then live in my mailbox. They are used only to reply (legal basis: art. 6(1)(b) — steps taken at your request) and kept no longer than an ordinary correspondence would be.

Local storage. The site briefly uses sessionStorage for a page-transition effect. Nothing in it identifies you, nothing leaves your browser, and it expires with the tab. This is not a cookie and tracks nothing.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing — write to hello@light-through-the-mirror.com. You may also complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (gpdp.it) or your local supervisory authority.

Cookie notice

No cookies are set by this site. Should that ever change — for example by embedding third-party players or switching to cookie-based analytics — this notice will be updated and, where required, consent will be requested first.
